Hand turned from beautifully figured spalted maple, this one-of-a-kind wooden art bowl highlights the organic patterns and dramatic natural character created during the spalting process. Dark spalting lines weave throughout the piece while natural voids and inclusions add depth and sculptural interest.
The rim has been carefully embellished using a fine 1/16″ ball-tip wood burning technique, creating a rich textured band that contrasts beautifully against the light maple tones.
Finished with shellac to enhance the warmth and chatoyance of the wood while preserving its natural appearance.
